Starline
How to Play
Star Line is a memory puzzle where you recall a briefly shown constellation and redraw its lines. When a round begins, lines connect the stars one by one to reveal the constellation. Memorize which stars are linked before the lines disappear. The preview time gets shorter as your level rises.
Once the lines fade, touch a star and drag to a connected star to draw a line. You can draw them in any order. Start with the lines you remember, and feel free to lift your finger and resume from another star. Each time you draw a line, the timer refills, so try not to hesitate too long.
If you draw a wrong line, touch a fake star, or run out of time, one star (★) at the top of the screen goes dark and a missing line briefly appears. If you lose all three stars, you must replay the constellation from the start. Completing it without mistakes earns three stars, and a myth illustration for that constellation appears in the night sky.
Tips & Tricks
- During the preview, grasp the overall shape before focusing on individual stars. Remembering it as a named shape like a cross, dipper, or ring helps it stick longer.
- Fake stars appear from Level 5 onward. Only stars touched by lines during the preview are real. Avoid any star that was never connected by a line.
- Drawing lines without mistakes grants a combo bonus. Score doubles from the fourth line and triples from the seventh line.
- Skip uncertain lines and draw the ones you know first. The timer refills each time you complete a line.
- A failed constellation shows a slightly slower preview on your next attempt. As your collected stars pile up, new line colors like Aurora and Blossom unlock.
Constellation Lore
This game features all twelve signs of the zodiac. You can trace the twelve constellations that divide by birthday yourself, from Aries to Pisces. Star positions are based on real celestial coordinates, with only the closest pairs spaced slightly apart for easier touch input.
Twelve more of the night sky’s most famous constellations are added. You will find winter icons Orion and Canis Major, the Big Dipper and Ursa Minor that guide you to the North Star, the Summer Triangle of Cygnus, Lyra, and Aquila, and even Crux, the smallest of the 88 constellations.
Completing a constellation overlays its myth illustration on the stars. In your atlas you can revisit tales the ancients carved into the sky, such as the Nemean lion Heracles slew, the lyre of Orpheus, and the jeweled crown of Ariadne. The atlas also notes the season when each constellation is best seen in the evening sky.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I have to link the stars in order?
- No. There is no set order. Complete the constellation by drawing all lines between stars shown in the preview. You can link several lines in one sweep or lift your finger and start from another star.
- What happens if I draw a wrong line?
- One star (★) at the top goes dark and a missing line briefly appears. Running out of time has the same effect. Losing all three stars restarts the constellation from the beginning. The number of stars remaining determines your rating for that round.
- What is the Today’s Constellation daily challenge?
- It is a mode where every player worldwide tackles the same constellation with the same fake star layout each day. One record is kept per day, and playing daily builds a streak. You can share your result with friends using a star-rating card that does not reveal the answer.
- How does my leaderboard score go up?
- Your leaderboard rank is set by the total stars you have collected so far. Finishing all 24 constellations with three stars each lets you collect up to 72. Replaying cleared constellations to earn more stars raises your total. Today’s Constellation ranks players separately by Score.
- Is it free? Does it work well on mobile?
- Completely free. No install or login needed. Just play right in your browser. Dragging stars with your finger fits touch screens especially well, and on PC you can simply drag with the mouse.
